Careers in Biomedical Grant Management
When: Tuesday, 15 November 2011
Where: 4:00 – 5:30 pm, Ben Franklin Room (Room 218), Houston Hall
Featuring Anita Pepper, Ph.D., Manager, Pew Programs in the Biomedical Sciences, The Pew Charitable Trusts
Dr. Anita Pepper, a former Penn postdoc in the Department of Genetics, will discuss why nontraditional or alternative careers for Ph.D.s in biomedical science should now be considered anything but nontraditional or alternative. She will address the often overlooked point that trained scientists acquire skill sets that are required for many jobs outside of academia that can be fulfilling, intellectually challenging and have a broad impact on the world at large.
Graduate students, postdocs, and alumni of Penn graduate programs are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is requested: CLICK HERE.
